SugarBee® Apple Streusel Dessert Pizza
This dessert pizza is where apple crisp meets chewy, golden pizza crust. SugarBee apples are naturally
sweet with honeyed notes and a bright, balancing acidity that intensifies as they cook. They soften
beautifully without turning to mush, hold their slices in the pan, and create a glossy, caramel-like coating
with brown sugar and spice. That texture is exactly what you want here: tender, structured apples that
can sit proudly on a pizza base and carry a buttery oat streusel without collapsing.
Ingredients
Apple Filling
2 SugarBee Apples, peeled and sliced thin
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp butter
Streusel Topping
1 cup oats
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 stick butter, softened
Pizza Base
Olive oil, for pan
Semolina, for dusting
1 ball pizza dough (homemade or fresh store-bought)
Frosting Drizzle
1 cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
Instructions
1. In a skillet over medium heat, add butter, sliced apples, brown sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
Sauté, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and fully coated in a glossy syrup. Remove
from heat and let cool.
2. While the apples cool, combine oats, flour, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add the
butter and use your hands to mix until crumbly and well combined.
3. Preheat oven to 500°F. Drizzle olive oil into a large cast iron pan or sheet pan and
sprinkle with semolina. Lay the pizza dough into the pan and press outward with your
hands until it fills the pan. Use a fork to poke holes all over the dough.
4. Spread the cooled sautéed apples evenly over the dough. Generously sprinkle the
streusel topping over the apples.
5. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the streusel is crisp.
6. Carefully remove the pizza from the pan. Slice and allow to cool slightly.
7. Stir together powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the warm streusel
pizza and serve.
