SugarBee® Apple Donuts
Valentine’s Day is around the corner, so it’s time to treat yourself to these SugarBee® apple donuts! This straightforward recipe can be baked in the oven, or the air fryer.
Yield: 6 donuts
Ingredients:
- 3 SugarBee apples
- 1 vegan friendly puff pastry sheet, thawed.
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ cup plant based milk
Instructions:
- Begin by preheating the oven to 375°F.
- Ensure your puff pastry reaches room temperature. If it’s frozen, let it sit for 10 minutes or thaw as needed.
- Slice SugarBee apples into donut-like shapes and core them into rings.
- In a bowl, combine sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Coat the apple rings in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 1/4-1/2 inch strips. Wrap each apple ring with 2-3 strips.
- Brush the wrapped apple rings with plant-based milk and sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden, or alternatively, air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes.
- Once done, serve and savor the deliciousness!
