SugarBee® apple Spice Cake

This cake is full of sweet SugarBee® Apples, walnuts, and all the fall spices, then topped with a cinnamon cream cheese frosting. The honey, caramel, and molasses notes in SugarBee Apples perfectly match this cake’s Fall spices!
For the cake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups unsweetened applesauce
¾ cup canolal oil
2 tsp vanilla
2 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground clove
¼ ground nutmeg
1 ½ tsp allspice
2 SugarBee apples, roughly chopped
2 cups chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
For The Frosting:
8 ounces cream cheese
¼ cup unsalted butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 ½ tsp cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×13 pan.
- Wisk the brown sugar and the eggs until light and foamy.
- Mix in the apple sauce, oil, spices, and vanilla.
- Mix in the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix until there are no streaks of flour left.
- Fold in the SugarBee apples and walnuts.
- Add to the prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes.
- Let the cake cool to room temperature.
- Make the icing by mixing the cream cheese and butter together. Then mix in the vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
