Apple Mulled Wine
Nothing beats a steaming cup of mulled wine on a frosty winter day. This traditional spiced holiday drink will warm you to your core and tickle your taste buds.

YIELD: 4-6 servings (about 3 1/2 cups)
Mulled Wine
- 1 (750 ml) bottle of dry red wine
- 1 1/2 cups apple cider
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1 SugarBee® apple, cored and thinly sliced
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 4 whole star anise pods
- 1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1-inch slice of fresh ginger
Suggested Garnishes
- 1/3 cup pomegranate seeds
- 1 SugarBee® apple, cored and thinly sliced
- Cinnamon sticks
METHOD
- Place all mulled wine ingredients into a large pot and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer gently until fragrant, at least 30 minutes. NOTE: the longer the wine simmers, the stronger the spiced flavor will be.
- Strain and serve warm with apple slices, pomegranate seeds and a cinnamon stick.
