Ingredients
For the base:
12 ounces fresh blackberries
3 SugarBee® Apples, cored and chopped
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
For the topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup rolled oats
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, add the blackberries, diced apples, brown sugar, and flour. Toss or stir to combine to coat the fruit. Transfer the fruit mixture to a high-walled 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Pour in the melted butter. Use a fork to mix to form moistened small clumps. Sprinkle over the fruit.
Bake the apple blackberry crisp until bubbly and the top is golden, 50 minutes to 1 hour. Let sit for 15 minutes before serving warm with a scoop of ice cream.
