SugarBee® Apple Upside Down Tarts

Apples and puff pastry three ways; Apple Brie and Pecan, Apple Bacon and Gruyere, and
Caramel Apple! SugarBee® Apples are filled with flavor notes like molasses and caramel, which
works perfectly for these sweet and savory tarts.

Apple, brie, and pecan
Servings: 4 tarts
Ingredients:

– 1 sheet of thawed frozen puff pastry cut into 4 pieces
– 1 SugarBee apple sliced
– 1/4 cup honey
– 4 slices of brie
– 1/4 cup roughly chopped pecans
– 1 egg -beaten
– 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Drizzle 4 sections of honey in areas about 2 inch by 2 inches.
4. Place 4-5 slices of apple on top of the honey.
5. Sprinkle with pecans and cover with a slice of brie.
6. Place the puff pastry on top and seal the edges with a fork.
7. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
8. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

Apple, Bacon, and Gruyere
Servings: 4 tarts
Ingredients:

– 1 sheet of thawed frozen puff pastry cut into 4 pieces
– 1 SugarBee apple sliced

– 1/4 cup honey
– 4 slices of bacon cut into 2×2 inches
– 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
– 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Drizzle 4 sections of honey in areas about 2 inch by 2 inches.
4. Place 4-5 slices of apple on top of the honey.
5. Cover with two pieces of cut bacon.
6. Cover with a heavy sprinkle of the grated cheese.
7. Dust with pepper and place the puff pastry on top and seal the edges with a fork.
8. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with more cheese.
9. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

Caramel Apple
Servings: 4 tarts
Ingredients:

– 1 sheet of thawed frozen puff pastry cut into 4 pieces
– 1 SugarBee apple sliced

–  1/2 cup caramel sauce
– 1-2 tsp cinnamon
– 1 egg -beaten

Directions:
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Drizzle 4 sections of caramel in areas about 2 inch by 2 inches.
3. Place 4-5 slices of apple on top of the caramel.
4. Dust with cinnamon and place the puff pastry on top and seal the edges with a fork.
5. Brush with egg wash and bake for 12-15 minutes.
